Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

The BA in Psychology includes introductory and advanced coursework in the areas of biological, cognitive, social, and developmental psychology. In addition, students receive training in research design and statistical methods. There are several options for electives and independent study so that students can tailor the major to their interests.

The specific course requirements for the Psychology major are available in the Psychology Department Requirements for Undergraduates. Students majoring in Psychology must also complete the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences General Curriculum Requirements.

Psi Chi Honors Society

The GW campus provides a welcoming community for psychology students and is home to a chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
