Dr. Dodge’s research focuses on understanding factors in the social context that affect attitudes and decision making related to health. Current studies related to this line of work investigate the role of physical activity in shaping attitudes and decision making related to substance use (e.g., alcohol, marijuana, steroids). In addition to focuses on applied problems, she also interested in basic research. In these studies she examines the origins of attitudes and their properties to better understand the ways in which attitudes influence behavior.
