I am interested in how psychological, environmental and biological factors combine to influence important health-related decisions, behaviors and conditions.  Current projects include observational and experimental studies to identify the biological, behavioral and psychosocial determinants of obesity & interventions to improve obesity-related outcomes; testing a comprehensive model of responses to—and preparation for—terrorism and other emergencies; and studies to identify and assess psychological and environmental sources of stress, and interventions to reduce the frequency and impact of stressful events.
